Steps:

1 Preparation of 2,5-dibromo-N,N-dimethylthiophene-3-carboxamide

Compound S (5.0 g, 32 mmol) was dissolved in 200 ml of dimethylformamide (DMF), 11.5 g (64 mmol) of N-bromosuccinimide was added at room temperature, and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 12 hours. After the reaction was completed, recrystallization was performed using dichloromethane and methanol to obtain 9.6 g of 2,5-dibromo-N, N-dimethylthiophene-3-carboxamide (yield 95%).
