In a 100 mL round bottom flask, intermediate VIII (2.76 g, 10 mmol), bromoethane (2.18 g, 20 mmol) was added in 15 mL of DMF as organic solvent. The mixture was stirred at 70 ° C. After half an hour, potassium carbonate (4.15 g, 30 mmol) was added to continue the reaction. TLC was followed until the reaction was completed. The mixture was cooled to room temperature (18-25 ° C) and concentrated by filtration. The residue was purified by column chromatography and dried to give 1.99 g of Compound IX-1 in a yield of 65.3%. Yellow powder.
