3 Drops of HCl cone, were added to a stirred solution of (R)-4-(l-amino-ethyl)-benzoic acid (1.79 g, 8.87 mmol) in methanol (25 mL). After stirring the mixture at 85⁰C for 3 h the solvent was removed in vacuo to give the title compound as the HCl salt. MS (m/z): 179.8 [M+H*]
