Steps:
General method for the synthesis of substituted 3-chlorobenzo[b]thiophene-2-carboxamides (2a-c) and3-chlorothieno[2,3-b]thiophene-2-carboxamides(17a-c)
General procedure: To a solution of 3-chlorobenzo[b]thiophene-2-carbonyl chloride 1 and 3-chlorothieno[2,3-b]thiophene-2-carbonyl chloride 16 in toluene was added dropwise asolution of corresponding amine in toluene or DMF, followed by the addition ofEt3N. After refluxing and cooling, the obtained solid was filteredoff, washed with diluted HCl and water, and recrystallized.
