To a solution of carboxylic acid (5g) in CH2CI2 (400MUT) at 0°C was added N (OCH3) CH3. HCI (11. 5G), DEC (15. 1g), HOBt (5. 3G) and NMM (43ML) and stirred for 14hr. The mixture was diluted with CH2CI2 (100ML) and the organic layer was washed with 10% HCI, saturated sodium bicarbonate and brine, dried with NA2SO4, and concentrated in vacuo to afford 5.74g of crude product (85%).
