Step 2: Preparation of 5,6-diamino-1H-benzo[d]imidazole [Show Image] The product obtained in Step 1 (2.5 g, 12 mmol) and Pd/C(0.5 g) were dissolved in EtOH (50 mL), reacted in a Parr hydrogenation apparatus at room temperature and hydrogen gas pressrue until the reaction is completed. The catalyst was removed by filtration, the filtrate was concentrated under vacuum, diluted with ethyl acetate, washed with water, dried, and concentrated under vacuum to obtain a product (1.2 g, 66.7%).
