General procedure for the synthesisof 2-arylbenzothiazoles in the presenceof chromium(III) salen complex nanoparticlessupported on AlPO4
General procedure: A mixture of 2-aminothiophenol (1.0 mmol) and arylaldehyde (1.0 mmol) was stirred in 5.0 mL of ethanol in the presence of nanocatalyst (2.0 mol%) at 50 °C. After the reaction was completed, the mixture was centrifuged and rinsed with ethanol (3 × 15 mL). The solvent was evaporated to give the crude product, which was purified by silica gel column chromatography with n-hexane/ethyl acetate(10:1) to afford pure 2-arylbenzothiazole.
