with (triphenylphosphine)gold(I) chloride;water;silver trifluoromethanesulfonate in methanol at 25; for 12 h;

Steps:

Add 0.2mmol α-alkynyl ketones in a reaction tube 10mL R1is tert-butyl, R2is tert-butyl, 0.005mmol of PPh3AuCl, 0.006mmol of AgOTf, 2mmol of H2O, 1mL of methanol, stirred for 12h in air atmosphere at 25 °C. After completion of the reaction, rotary evaporation, product was separated by column chromatography to give the following: 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-3,5-heptane dione (2,2,6,6-tetramethylheptane-3,5-dione ). Oily liquid, yield 95%.
