with hydroxyamino hydrochloride in lithium hydroxide monohydrate at 20; for 1 h;

Steps:

1 Preparative Example 1: Preparation of 2,4-dihydroxybenzyl amine

While mixing and stirring 2,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde (50 g) and water (600 mL), hydroxyl amine hydrochloride (32.7 g) was dropped.
The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 hour while slowly dropping 0.23 M aqueous sodium carbonate solution (200 mL) to the mixture.
After the starting materials were completely disappeared, the solid formed in the reaction solution was filtered and washed with water to obtain 2,4-dihydroxy benzaldehyde oxime (54 g, yield 97%).
1H-NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6) 10.9 (brs, 1H), 10.05 (brs, 1H), 9.76 (brs, 1H), 8.19 (s, 1H), 7.23 (d, 1H), 6.30 (s, 1H), 6.28 (s, 1H)
