Steps:

1.B; 2.B; 3.B; 4.B B. Preparation of 2,6-dibromobenzyl alcohol
Add 2,6-dibromobenzaldehyde (25 g, 0.094 mol) to methanol (100 mL), add sodium borohydride (5.37 g, 0.142 mol) under ice bath, and react at room temperature for 30 min.After the reaction is complete, add 50 mL of water, extract with dichloromethane (50 mL×3), collect the organic phase,Drying with anhydrous sodium sulfate, filtering off the solid, evaporating the solvent under reduced pressure, beating with n-hexane (50 mL), and drying to obtain 24.3 g of 2,6-dibromobenzyl alcohol as a yellow solid with a yield of 97%.
