Example 1: Preparation of 2-Methy 1-1 -(methIythio)propane-2 -amine Preparation according to the invention89 g (1 mol) of 2-amino-2-methyl-l-propanol and 1 mol Of H₂SO₄ as 50% (w/w) aqueous solution were mixed together under cooling to keep the temperature below 50⁰C. The formed solution was kept in the vacuum oven at 120⁰C for 3 h to give a white solid. 169 g of 2-ammonio-2- methlypropylsulfate could be isolated, corresponding to a yield of 100 %.
