Steps:

1 Synthesis of 2-amino-N-(2-methoxyethyl)benzamide

2H-benzo[d][1,3]oxazine-2,4(1H)-dione (10.000 g, 61.301 mmol), 2-methoxyethane-1-amine (4.604 g, 61.301 mmol) and triethylamine (8.544 mL, 61.301 mmol) were dissolved in ethanol (50 mL) at 80, after which the resulting solution was stirred at the same temperature for 12 hours, and then a reaction was finished by lowering the temperature to room temperature. Water was poured into the reaction mixture, and an extraction was performed with ethyl acetate. An organic layer was washed with saturated sodium chloride aqueous solution, then dehydrated with anhydrous sodium sulfate, then filtered, and then concentrated under reduced pressure. The resulting concentrate was purified via column chromatography (SiO2, 40 g cartridge; ethyl acetate/hexane = 0 to 30%), and concentrated to obtain a title compound (9.800 g, 82.3%) in a colorless oil form.
