Wash the round bottom flask properly and rinse with  distilled water. Add 10 ml of 10% solution of sodium carbonate in round bottom flask  and 0.1 ml of 2,5-dimethyl aniline. Shake it well to mix it evenly. Gradually add 1 ml 0f acid in  the flask and shake it vigorously. Filter the reaction as the precipitates appeared. Precipitates  were dried and confirmed by performing TLC. Amount of obtained product was  calculated and saved.

4.6. General procedure for the synthesis of compounds 6a-o

General procedure: Computed amounts of alkyl/aralkyl/aryl amines (5a-o, 0.01 mol)were added separately in a quick fit Erlenmeyer flask already having20% aqueous Na2CO3 solution to set the pH 9-10. The bromoacetylbromide (0.01 mol) was added drop-wise into the flask over 2-5 minwith continuous vigorous shaking till the formation of precipitates followedby further stirring to get homogenous precipitates over a period of 1-2 h. The solid product was filtered, washed with cold water, and driedto get the respective electrophile(s), N-alkyl/aralkyl/aryl substituted-2-bromoacetamides (6a-o) and their names and physic-chemical constantsare as follows:
