EXAMPLE 295A 2-chloro-N-(3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)acetamide The procedure described in Example 33A was followed, substituting 2-chloro-N-(3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)aniline for 3-methylaniline to provide the title compound (1.8 g, 60% yield) as a white solid. ¹H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl₃) δ 3.80 (s, 6H), 4.20 (s, 2H), 6.15 (t, 1H, J=3 Hz), 6.78 (d, 2H, J=3 Hz), 8.15 (br s, 1H); MS (DCI/NH₃) m/e 230 (M+H)⁺.
