2-Ethyl-2-pentenal synthesis

5synthesis methods
-

Yield:3491-57-4 55%

Reaction Conditions:

with sodium hydroxide in water at 50; under 150.015 Torr;Temperature;

Steps:

9 Examples 5-7 (mixed aldolization of n-butyraldehyde with n-pentanal) and Examples 8 and 9 (mixed aldolization of acetaldehyde and n-pentanal)

Examples 5-7 (mixed aldolization of n-butyraldehyde with n-pentanal) and Examples 8 and 9 (mixed aldolization of acetaldehyde and n-pentanal) For the performance of Examples 5-7 and 8 and 9, the experimental setup used in Examples 1-4 was used. The reaction conditions, the continuous supply of the feedstocks and the circulation flow rates were established according to the conditions in Tables 4 and 5 below. Tables 4 and 5 likewise report the composition of the organic product determined by gas chromatography, in anhydrous form (in %). In all experiments, a Sulzer SMX DN4 mixer was used, which was installed upstream of the reactor base, outside the tubular reactor. The experiments were conducted at a slightly elevated pressure of 0.02 MPa.
