Steps:

(I) 110 g of propylene alcohol and 400 g of pentafluoroiodoethane were added to the autoclave, 50 g of ammonium persulfate was added,25g sodium bisulfite, add water 900ml, the control temperature is 50 ~ 70 , the reaction was stirred 4h ~ 8h. After the reaction was allowed to stand to separate the lower organic phase, the organic phase was washed with water and dried to give 4,4,5,5,5-pentafluoro-2-iodo-1-pentanol 600g.
