50.8 g (0.3 mol) of eugenol with a content of 97% and DEC 35.4g (0.3mol) was added to the magnetic stirrer,distillation column,In the reactor of the condenser and thermometer,then add K2CO3 10.2g and PEG-400 9.1g, and add DEC 106.3g (0.9 mol) to the dropping funnel for use;After being purged with nitrogen, the temperature was raised to 170°C, and DEC was slowly added dropwise to carry out reactive distillation. The ethanol produced by the reaction was continuously distilled off. The ethanol was received by condensation, and the addition was completed within 2 hours of DEC, and then the reaction was kept for 2 hours. The reaction mixture was cooled to neutrality with dilute hydrochloric acid, and the lower layer waste liquid was left to stand still. The organic phase was washed twice with an equal volume of distilled water, the aqueous phase was combined, extracted twice with 30 mL of toluene, and the toluene extract was combined into an organic phase. Distilling the combined organic phases, recovering toluene and excess DEC, recycling,Further distillation under reduced pressure gave 56.3 g of ethyl isoeugenol product.The content of ethyl isoeugenol was 98.9% by gas chromatography.The yield of ethyl isoeugenol was 96.5%
