Add 100ml of water, 0.1mol of o-toluenesulfonyl chloride, and 0.2mol of bis(pinacolato)diboron to the reaction flask, and stir thoroughly, then add 0.01mol 2,2'-azobis[2-[1-(2-hydroxyethyl)-2-imidazolin-2-yl]propane] dihydrochloride, slowly increase the temperature to 100°C, keep the temperature for 2h, the whole reaction process is in a stirring state, after the reaction, the system was slowly cooled to room temperature, extracted with dichloromethane three times, the organic phase was collected, distilled under reduced pressure, and dried in vacuum, a white solid o-toluene boronic acid pinacol ester was obtained with a yield of 92.5% and a purity of 95.8%.
