Steps:
1.A.1 Step 1: Synthesis of 2-morpholinonicotinonitrile
To a 20 mL scintillation vial was added 2-fluoronicotinonitrile (lg, 8.2 mmol) and DCM (15 mL). Morpholine (1 4 mL, 16.4 mmol) was added, and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for -18 hours. The crude mixture was filtered through a plug of silica gel, and the filtrate was concentrated to give a colorless crystalline solid, which was used without further purification (Yield: l. lg, 71%).
