General procedure: PhI(OAc)2 (0.7g, 2.2mmol) was added to a stirred solution of the appropriate hydrazide 2 (1.0 mmol) in MeCN (20 mL) at 40 °C, and the mixture was heated at 40 °C until the reaction was complete (TLC).The solvent was then evaporated in vacuo, and the residue was purified by column chromatography (silica gel; hexane-EtOAc, 1:10).
