General Procedure : The preparation of 4-Arylcoumarins

General procedure: Pd(OAc)₂ (0.05mmol, 0.1eq), ortho-hydroxylcinnamateester (0.5 mmol, 1.0 equiv.) and diphenyliodonium salts (1.0 mmol, 2.0 equiv.)were added to a dried Schlenk tube. The tube was degassed with Nitrogen forthree times. Then DMF (2.0mL) were added via a syringe. The mixture was stirred at 80 ^oCfor 3 h, and then cooled down to room temperature. The crude products were directly purified usingflash column chromatography on silica gel (petroleum ether/ethyl acetate 15:1as eluants) to afford the desired product
