11 Synthesis of 3-(1,3-benzothiazol-2-yl)propanoic acid (lntermediate-36):

Synthesis of 3-(1,3-benzothiazol-2-yl)propanoic acid (lntermediate-36): Starting material-7 (3.97mmol) in benzene was added drop wise to the solution of Starting Material-6 (3.97mmol) in benzene. The resulting solution was heated to reflux for 2 hours. After 2 hours the reaction mass was cooled to room temperature and was extracted with 10% sodium hydroxide solution. The aqueous layer was acidified using Conc.HCI (3ml) at 0°C. The resulting solids were filtered and dried at room temperature to get lntermediate-36 (660mg).
