3.1.5. General Procedure for the Preparation of 3,3-difluoroindolin-2-one (13a-e)
General procedure: Briefly, 3.4 mmol (1 eq) of the corresponding isatins 11a-e, 17 mmol (5 eq) of DAST and30 mL of CH2Cl2 were added into a monotube flask. The mixture was maintained at roomtemperature with magnetic stirring under a nitrogen atmosphere for 4 h. The progress ofthe reaction was monitored using TLC (hexane/ethyl acetate 7:3). The mixture was washedwith water (3 40 mL), then the organic phase was dried with anhydrous Na2SO4, and thesolvent was removed by evaporation. The product was obtained as a white solid.The analyses can be summarized as follows:
