1 Step 1-3-(Cyclopropylamino)propan-1-ol
A mixture of 3-bromopropan-1-ol (5.00 g, 35.9 mmol, 3.25 mL, CAS627-18-9) in cyclopropanamine (10.2 g, 179 mmol, 12.4 mL, CAS765-30-0) was stirred at 50° C. for 12 hours. On completion, the reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo to give the title compound (4.00 g, 96% yield) as light yellow oil. 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ 3.45 (t, J=6.0 Hz, 2H), 3.01 (t, J=7.6 Hz, 2H), 2.75-2.68 (m, 1H), 1.81-1.73 (m, 2H), 0.88-0.82 (m, 2H), 0.74-0.70 (m, 2H).
