with hydrazine hydrate monohydrate in methanol at 80; for 4 h;Sealed tube;

Steps:



A solution of 20(5 mmol) and hydrazine hydrate (2 mL) in drymethanol (5 mL) was heated to 80 °C for 4 h in a sealed tube. The excess ofmethanol was simply removed under vacuum at 40 °C. Water (10 mL) was added tothe residue and stirred to achieve precipitation. The resulting precipitatewas filtered, and washed with water to afford the pure product 21 as awhite solid (0.8 g, 85%).
