To a solution of 3 (600 mg, 2.28 mmol) in 1 ,4-dioxane (10 mL), 4 M HCI in dioxane (5mL) was added. After completion (monitored by TLC), the reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo to give 3-phenoxypyrrolidin (4, 250 mg, 67%) as an oily mass. LCMS: mlz 164.12 (M+H)+ (ES+), 91%
