Steps:

Synthesis and characterization of 3-tert-butyl-5-methyl-1H-pyrazole (B)

Cooled hydrazine hydrate (1.27 g, 25.32 mmol) was added to the solution ofpivaloylacetone (0.9 g, 6.33 mmol), in dry EtOH at 0 °C. The reaction mixture wasallowed to come at room temperature and then it was refluxed for 6 h under argon.After removal of EtOH impure white solid obtained which was extracted with DCMand removal of solvent yielded pure white solid (200 mg, 69%).
