Steps:
36.1 Step 1:
A mixture of 2,4-dichloropyrimidine (500 mg, 3.35 mmol), morpholine (292 mg, 3.35 mmol) and DIPEA (1.3 g, 10.05 mmol) in ACN (3 mL) was stirred at 55°C for 2 hours. The mixture was then concentrated in-vacuo and purified by flash chromatography on silica gel (Petroleum Ether/Ethyl Acetate = 2/1) to afford 4-(2-chloropyrimidin-4-yl)morpholine (660 mg, 98%) as a white solid. 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCI3): d 3.66 (br s, 4H), 3.77-3.80 (m, 4H), 6.38-6.41 (m, 1H), 8.07-8.10 (m, 1H)
