General procedure: A 10 mL distillation flask equipped with a magnetic stir bar was charged with compound 6 (0.2 mmol, 1.0 eq), CH3CN (or CD3CN)(3.0 mL), DMF (0.25 mL), and n-Bu4NBr (96.7 mg, 0.3 mmol, 1.5 eq).The flask equipped with graphite rod anode (d 5 mm) andgraphite rod cathode (d 5 mm). The resulting solutionwas stirredand electrolyzed at a constant current of 10 mA (Single Output DCPower Supply: KRP-305DM) for 3.0 h at room temperature. Thesolution was diluted with DCM (5 mL), extracted with DCM(3 20 mL). The combined organic layers were washed with brine(3 20 mL), dried over Na2SO4, and concentrated in vacuo. Purificationby flash column chromatography (Petroleum ether:EtOAc 30:1, v/v) afforded the desired product 12.
