Reaction Conditions:

Stage #1: 1,3-dimethoxy-2-hydroxy-benzenewith sodium hydride in methanol;dichloromethane at -45; for 0.333333 h;Inert atmosphere;
Stage #2: with N-Bromosuccinimide in methanol;dichloromethane at -45 - 45; for 3.5 h;Inert atmosphere;

Steps:

1.1 Step 1:

Under argon protection, compound 2,6-dimethoxyphenol 1 (10 g, 64.86 mmol) was dissolved in dichloromethane (100 mL) and cooled to -45°CThen sodium hydride (0.026 g, 0.645 mmol) dissolved in methanol (1 mL) was slowly added to react for 20 minutes; N-bromosuccinamide (NBS) was added, and after 30 minutes of reaction at 45°C, the reaction was slowly raised to room temperature for 3 hours. Distilled water was added to quench, the organic phase was extracted with dichloromethane, and the product was separated and purified by silica gel column (PE:EtOAc = 4:1, Rf = 0.57) to obtain a white solid product (13.45 g, yield 89%).
