-

Yield:-

Reaction Conditions:

with copper(I) thiophene-2-carboxylate;triphenylphosphine;bis(dibenzylideneacetone)-palladium(0) in diethyl ether at 20; for 4 h;Schlenk technique;

Steps:

Typical Procedure I:

General procedure: To a flame-dried Schlenk tube were added (2-chlorophenyl)boronic acid (0.9381 g, 6 mmol), 4-bromobenzoyl chloride (0.6549 g, 3mmol), Pd(dba)2 (0.0863 g, 0.15 mmol), PPh3 (0.0801 g, 0.3 mmol), CuTC (0.5103 g,2.6 mmol) and Et2O (40 mL). The reaction mixture was stirred at r.t.. After 4 h, TLCindicated reactant was consumed completely. The resulting mixture was diluted withethyl acetate (20 mL), and filtered through a short column of silica gel (eluent: ethylacetate (2 × 20 mL)). After evaporation of the solvent, the crude product wasrecrystallized by petroleum ether (60 oC - 90 oC) and DCM, which was used for thenext coupling without further purification.
