3,4,4-Trifluorobutyl-3-en-1-ol (5.0 g, 39.7 mmol) was dissolved in 50 ml of toluene, and thionyl chloride (5.7, 47.6 mmol) was added dropwise under ice-water cooling, After the dropwise addition, it was naturally raised to room temperature and stirred overnight.After completion of the reaction of the raw materials, the reaction solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure to obtain a crude product.The crude product was separated on a silica gel column eluting with 10% ethyl acetate/petroleum ether to give the product 4-chloro-1,1,2-trifluoro-1-butene (5.5 g, 96%).
