4-ETHYLSULFAMYLACETOPHENONE synthesis

1synthesis methods
-

Yield:200442-61-1 91%

Reaction Conditions:

with pyridine at 20;Inert atmosphere;

Steps:

7.I

Step I:4-acetylbenzene-1-sulfonyl chloride was added dropwise to a stirred solution of excess ethanamine and 1 mL of pyridine under N2. The reaction was stirred at room temperature overnight. When complete as determined by HPLC using the protocol described in Example 2 above, as well as by TLC (8/2 PE/EtOAc), the pyridine was evaporated, the evaporation residue was dissolved in 50 mL ethyl acetate, and then washed with 100 mL cold 0.5M HCl and then with brine and finally dried on Na2SO4. The solvent was evaporated and the product was used for the next step without further purification (500 mg, yield 91%, HPLC Rt=7.529 min).
