1-(4-fluorophenyl)-2-thiocyanatoethanone
Potassium thiocyanate (2.7 g, 27.7 mmol) was added to a solution of 2-bromo-1-(4-fluorophenyl)ethanone (3 g, 13.8 mmol) in acetonitrile (30 mL), and the mixture was heated to reflux for 2 h.
The reaction solution was concentrated to give 1-(4-fluorophenyl)-2-thiocyanatoethanone 0149A in the form of a white solid (2.5 g, 95%). LCMS (ESI) [M+H]+=196.11.80 min (Method B).
