Step-1 To a stirred solution of 17-1 (200 mg, 2.0 mmol) and 17-2 (366 mg, 3.0 mmol) in DCE (10 mL) was added pyridine (0.805 mL, 10.0 mmol). Cu(OAc)2.H2O (40 mg, 0.2 mmol) was added to the reaction mixture. Reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 72 hours. It was diluted with DCM, washed with water, dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated under reduced pressure. Crude was purified by column chromatography (silica, gradient 0%-2% Methanol in DCM) to provide 17-3 as off white solid. Yield:21%; LC MS: ES+ 177.0.
