with 5%-palladium/activated carbon;hydrogen in methanol

Steps:

1.2 Step 2: Synthesis of Compound 1.2
Compound 1.1 (5.0 g, 20.5 mmol) was dissolved in methanol (100 mL) and Pd/C (5% wet palladium on carbon) was added,200mg). The reaction was then replaced with hydrogen three times and stirred under a hydrogen system (hydrogen balloon) overnight. After filtration, the filter cake was washed with methanol, and the filtrate was evaporated under reduced pressure to give compound 1.2 (5.0 g, yield: 99%) as a white solid.
