Step Z-a 2-phenyl-3,5-dioxo-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-1,2,4-triazine-6-carboxylic acid (l)Intermediate c (7.5 g, 0.035 mol) was added to a mixed solvent of glacial acetic acid (100 mL) and HCl (72 mL, 0.86 mol).
The mixture was warmed up to 120° C. and reacted under reflux for 4 h.
The solvent was evaporated off.
To the obtained fraction was added water (200 mL).
The mixture was filtered by suction and dried to produce Intermediate h (3.2 g) in a yield of 47%.
