A solution of (Z)-methyl N'-cyano-N-(4-(N- methylsulfamoyl)phenyl)carbamimidothioate (238 mg, 837 μηιο, Eq: 1.00) and hydrazine (276 mg, 270 μ, 8.6 mmol, Eq: 10.3) in ethanol (5 mL) was heated at 65°C for 3 hr. The reaction was cooled to rt and stirred overnight. The resulting suspension was filtered to give solid 137 mg (61%) of desired product as a white solid. 1H NMR (300MHz, DMSO) δ: 11.33 (s, 1H), 9.27 (s, 1H), 7.58 (dd, J = 20 Hz, 11 Hz, 4H), 7.08 (q, J = 5 Hz, 1H), 5.97 (s, 2H), 2.50 (d, J= 2 Hz, 3H) ppm
