Step 4: Synthesis of 2-[4-(t-butyl)phenyl]cyclopropanecarboxylic acid; 2-[4-(t-butyl)phenyl]cyclopropylmethanol (100 mg, 0.49 mmol) was dissolved in DMF(3.0 mL), followed by adding 4A molecular sieve of PDC (220 mg, 0.59 mmol) and then stirring for one day. After the completion of the reaction, the resulting solution was diluted with ether, filtrated, concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was EPO purified by column chromatograpy (ethyl acetate/n-hexane = 1/10) to yield 2-[4-(t- butyl)phenyl]cyclopropanecarboxylic acid (77 nig, 72%).1H-NMR (300MHz, CDCl3): δ 1.28 (s, 9H), 1.53-1.47 (m, IH), 1.73 (dt, IH, J= 9.2, 5.0 Hz), 2.62-2.56 (m, IH), 7.06 (d, 2H, J= 8.3 Hz), 7.33 (d, 2H, J= 8.4 Hz), 9.30 (d, IH, J = 4.8 Hz)
