The compound 5- (benzyloxy) indole 1a (1.06 g, 4.75 mmol) was dissolved in acetic acid (10 mL), and then sodium cyanoborohydride (447 mg, 7.12 mmol) was added.After stirring for 1 hour at room temperature,It was adjusted to pH = 8 with a 1N lithium hydroxide solution, and then extracted with ethyl acetate (50 mL × 3).The organic phases were combined and dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, and the filtrate was filtered to remove the solvent under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (dichloromethane / methanol = 20/1)The target product 5- (benzyloxy) indoline 1b (883 mg, yellow oil) was obtained,Yield: 88%.
