Example 50 fa) 5-Bromo-2-isopropylsulfanyl-pyridine; 5-Bromo-2-chloro-pyridine (516.0 mg, 2.681 mmol) was dissolved in DMF (10 mL) and sodium 2-propanethiolate (1.5 g, 15.28 mmol) was added at room temperature. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 hour where after analysis by GC- MS showed only little starting material left. Water (10 mL) was added followed by extraction with CH2Cl2 (3 x 20 mL). The combined organic phases were dried (MgSO4), filtered and concentrated to afford the title compound (600 mg, 96%).
