[00464] To morpholine (4.80 ML, 55 mmol) stirring at 130°C was added 5-bromo-uracil (3.02 g, 15.7 mmol). The mixture was stirred 15 min, then cooled. The solid was suspended in methanol and filtered, washing with methanol to provide 5-MORPHOLINO-4-YL-LH- pyrimidine-2,4-dione (2.98 g, 96 % yield) as a white SOLID. LH-NMR (500 MHz, DMSO-D") 8 11. 1 (s, 1H), 10.5 (s, 1H), 6.75 (s, 1H), 3.65 (m, 4H), 2.80 (m, 4H) ppm.
