4-Chloro-1-methylpyrazo[3,4-d]pyrimidine (4 g, 23.8 mmol)Added to 40 ml of isopropanol,Add 5g NaI, stir and heat to 50 °C,Slowly add 20 mL of 80% hydrazine hydrate,Then heated to reflux for 2h,Cool to room temperature and precipitate a white solid.The mixture was filtered and the filter cake was washed with absolute ethanol and dried to give a white solid 3.65 g, 93.5% yield.
