A solution of 6-bromo-4- chloroquinazoline (147.7 mg, 0.608 mmol.) and morpholine (53 μl_, 0.608 mmol.) in dioxane (2.0 ml.) was stirred and heated in a microwave reactor at 150 0C for 20 min. An aliquot was analyzed by LCMS, MS(ES+) m/e 294[M+H]+, and was 100% pure 6-bromo-4-(4-morpholinyl)quinazoline. Material used in next step without further workup. To the above mixture was added tributyl vinyl tin (195μl_, 0.608 mmol) and palladium tetrakis triphenylphosphine (70 mg, 0.0608 mmol) in DMF (2 ml_). The reactants were stirred and heated in a microwave reactor at 150 0C for 20 min.Purification by flash-chromatography (silica gel, 10-100% 10% methanol in chloroform) afforded the title compound (125 mg; 85%) as an off white solid. Ci4H15N3O MS(ES+) m/e 242 [M+H]+
