Steps:

Preparation of 3-substitutes-4-amino-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole(3) (3a-d)

General procedure: A mixture of 2 (0.1 mol) and hydrazine hydrate(0.2 mol) in dry Pyridine (20 mL) was refluxed for4.5 h. The reaction mixtures was cooled at roomtemperature and neutralized with dilute HCL. Thesolid obtained was filtered thoroughly, washed withcold water and recrystallized from ethanol.
