3 (C) 3- [3- (4-Methoxy-phenyl)- [1, 2,4] oxadiazol-5-yl] -piperidine; 3- [3- (4-Methoxy-phenyl)- [1, 2,4] oxadiazol-5-yl]-piperidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (0.39 g, 1.08 mmol) was dissolved in 2 ml of 4N HC1 (dioxane solution). The resulting reaction mixture was stirred at R. T. for lh and concentrated to afford 0.320 g (100%) of 3- [3- (4-Methoxy-phenyl)- [1, 2,4] oxadiazol-5-yl] -piperidine hydrochloride as a brown solid.
