A mixture of compound 40 (2.00 g, 6.96 mmol), Raney Ni (2.0 g), 28% aqueous NH3 solution (20 mL), THF (20 mL) and methanol (20 mL) was stirred at room temperature for 4 h under hydrogen atmosphere (1 atm). The catalyst was removed by vacuum filtration through a PTFE membrane and the filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was dissolved in ethyl acetate, dried over Na2SO4, and concentrated under reduced pressure to give the title compound as a pale blue oil (2.03 g, 6.97 mmol, quant.). 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6) d 1.42 (9H, s), 3.04-3.13 (4H, m), 3.17-3.51 (6H, m), 3.50-3.82 (2H, m), 6.71-6.80 (2H, m), 6.92 (1H, br s), 7.16 (1H, t, J = 7.2 Hz).
