In a 50 ml glass pressure bottle, 2 g of carbazole, 0.04 g of a proton-removing agent KOH and 10 ml of N-methylpyrrolidone were added as a solvent, stirring was started and the temperature was raised to 80° C. to form a salt reaction for 30 minutes to form carbazole potassium salt.Then pass acetylene, 160 °C, reaction under normal pressure for 2.5 hours,N-vinyl carbazole was obtained in a yield of 98.6%; in the next step of hydrogenation to N-ethylcarbazole, the concentration ratio of catalyst to N-vinylcarbazole species was 1..2000, and palladium catalyst was added.(The carrier is magnesium phosphate.) The hydrogenation reaction was carried out at 0.370 MPa H270° C. The reaction time was 3 hours, and N-ethyl carbazole was obtained. The yield was 99.1%.
