Steps:

Under nitrogen atmosphere,To 2-(benzo[b]thiophen-5-yl)acetonitrile (60 mg, 0.35 mmol)of THF (5mL)and H 2 O (5mL) mixed solution addedNaOH (190 mg, 4.75 mmol).The mixture was stirred at 80°C for 18 hours.Then with H2O (20mL)Diluted and washed with EA (20 mL).with aqueous hydrochloric acid (2M)Adjust the aqueous phase to pH=4,And extracted with EA (20 mL×3).The organic phase was dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated,2-(Benzo[b]thiophen-5-yl)acetic acid (57 mg, 86% yield) was obtained as a white solid.
