Carbamic acid, thio-, O-butyl ester synthesis

4synthesis methods
-

Yield: 41%

Reaction Conditions:

with silica sulfuric acid at 70; for 12 h;

Steps:

8 4.2. General procedure
General procedure: In a typical procedure, SiO2-OSO3H (2 g, 1.0 mmol) was added to a mixture of potassium thiocyanate (1.0 mmol) and alcohol or phenol (1.0 mmol). Then, the mixture was heated and stirred at 70 °C in oil bath under solid-state conditions for 12 h. The reaction was monitored in TLC. After completion of reaction, ethyl acetate (3 * 10 ml) was added and the mixture was filtered. The solvent (EtOAc) was removed under reduced pressure and the product was purified by column chromatography (petroleum ether and ethyl acetate) and characterized correctly. Pure products were obtained in moderate yields, as summarized in Table 1.
